Ingredients
4 Chicken breasts (more if need)
2 eggs
Ranch dressing mix
Dry bread crumbs
Salt and pepper
Butter
Directions
First, preheat your oven to 375°F.
Put the dry bread crumbs in a 1-quart storage bag with Ranch dressing Mix, salt and pepper. Give the bag a little shake to mix everything together.
Beat the 2 eggs in a shallow bowl.
Rinse the chicken breasts and dip each one into the beaten egg, making sure it is well coated. Place the chicken into the bag with the bread crumbs, seal it up, and give it a good shake until the chicken is covered all over.
Butter a 13 × 9-inch glass baking dish and arrange the chicken inside. Place a little pat of butter on top of each chicken breast.
Bake at 375°F for about 1 hour, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden and crisp.
Grandma’s Little Notes
In a hurry?
You can use prepared ranch dressing instead of the eggs. Just leave out the eggs, dip the chicken directly into the ranch dressing, and then coat it with the dry bread crumbs.
Want it extra crispy?
Mix some crushed crackers in with the dry bread crumbs. It gives the chicken a wonderfully crunchy coating.
And remember:
Chicken breasts come in all different sizes, so the cooking time may vary. Check the chicken for doneness before serving.
